If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.”

We all have something that binds us, causes us hurt, pain, turmoil, misery or strife but Jesus tells us that if we want to be his follower, we must take up that pain (our cross) everyday while we are following him.

Dear Heavenly father. Thank you for waking me up this morning. I pray that today will be blessed. I ask that you help me to overcome my pain today. Help me to overcome life’s difficulties and adversities. Help me to overcome my pride today and ask for help if I need to.
